I have a Lenovo T60. When I first got it, I was able to turn off
the touch pad in the Control Panel and it would stay off. Now it
turn its self back on in less than a second. How can I get it
turned off so that it will stay off? Thank you in advance for all
replies.

Whenever I hear or think of the song "Great green gobs of greasy
grimey gopher guts" I imagine my cat saying; "That sounds REALLY,
REALLY good. I'll have some of that!"

Hi Daniel! There are probably lots of ways, but one way is to disable it
through the Device Manager.

Should be a Synaptic service. It may be loading at startup.

You could also turn off the service in Computer management>Services &
Applications>Services. Disable the service.

or look in the BIOS. You might disable it there too.
