how do i improve my site relating to google? i have a google fansite
at googlefansite.com, can I use google search on the site?

I would use another domain name. Otherwise it might be that one day your
site is POOOOF ... gone. ;)

I doubt it, since googlefansite is to me clearly a fansite. But... if in
doubt *check with Google* and ask their permission.

Google is a trademark, if a company holds a trademark and doesn't act
upon abuse, it could well loose its rights.

I would not build and optimise a site that could be taken out of
business any given time, would you?

My question is: is googlefansite abuse of a trademark? I have no idea.

Yup, that's why I recommended to ask Google.
