I get a message that says I have to clear the email sync from the other
profile since I have 2 profiles for 2 discrete machines? The task, contacts
and other folders seem to sync over two machines.

Hi,

Yes, you cannot sync the Inbox with two computers like the other information
types you mentioned. Part of the reason for this is because the manner in
which Inbox synchronization happens. The Inbox folder sync's one-way (PC to
PPC) and similarly Outbox sync's one-way in the reverse direction (PPC to
PC). So based on this design it would be difficult to sync with two PCs and
have the data current on the device and the two PCs.

Its so unclear in the directsion, I went to help and looked up e-mail, it
talks about only 1 email account and says- "You can synchronize e-mail
information between your device and only one PC, unless you are
synchronizing your device with an Outlook .pst file (personal folder) on the
other PC."

What does "unless" mean or indicate. I understand that I cannot do this but
I am trying to get batter at understanding these manuals and directions.

thanks for you input, it is saving me a lot of frustration.

It isn't clear where you are reading this message. Can you give me more
information where you are reading this information?

It means if you're already synching mail with one PC, you can't sync with
the other.

Again, in these enlightened days of WiFi or cellular-connected PCs, e-
mail synch with Outlook is passe. The Outlook account on a PPC is
typically used for Exchange e-mail (from an Exchange server) these days.
