Hi All:

I installed PocketBCM.exe, but had no luck syncing my pocketpc with OUtlook
2003's Business Contact Manager. I get a sync error each time. Anybody
else getting this?

Don

Hi Don,

What error message are you receiving? I have installed it and am able to
successfully sync my BCM Contacts. I needed to do the following to get the
sync going:

1. Remove the PPC from the cradle.
2. Close Outlook (if open).
3. Perform a soft reset on the PPC.
4. Recradle the PPC and sync.

Hi Raj,

Thanks for your reply.

I did everything you mentioned, but it is still not working. What happens
is Activesync goes about synching in its usual fashion. It skips over
Business Contacts, then it displays a synchronization error "Impossible to
synchronize the elements of one or more information types. Disconnect, then
recradle your PPC.". If that sounded a little different from what you are
used to hearing it's b/c I had to translate it from French (which is what my
system displays in), so it may be slightly different. Also, the PocketPC
keeps trying to synch all the time now, even though Activesync on the PC has
stopped.

If you can help me with this, I would be most grateful. This is driving me
crazy.

BTW, I have an iPAQ 1935, with Pocket PC Version 4.2.1081 (Build 13100).

Kind Regards,

Don

Do I need to upgrade to Activesync 4.0?

I figured it out on my own... I downloaded and installed the latest update
to Outlook 2003 (released June 14, 2005). Now it works like a charm.
