I'll be in Brussels for a week and would like to know my options for
cell phone coverage. I have an HTC S730 (Quad-band GSM/ GPRS / EDGE
plus 3G and HSDPA on 2100Mhz). My company pays for voice (not data) on
T-Mobile here in the U.S. This trip will not be on company business,
so they should not pay extra for phone coverage on this trip. I would
like a week of unlimited voice and data (including use of cell phone
as modem for my laptop). I would like to use my phone, with all its
contact info. Can I rent a SIM with coverage for a week?

While you can certainly buy a prepaid SIM for a week's use, I doubt you'll
find any "unlimited" use packages for voice or data.

Check out http://www.prepaidgsm.net/en/belgium.html for a list of Belgian
mobile operators, then click on the logos to get to their respective
websites. (Prepaid GSM is a cool site, but the rates/tarrifs listed tend to
get a bit stale with time- it's best to check out the operators current
offers.)

The carrier "Base" has a decent data offer as prepaid goes- 200MB of data
for 10 Euros, and has the appropriate config settings right on their
website. and easy to find. (More than I can say about most American prepaid
mobile operators!)

Useful and clear. Thanks.
