I have a laptop enroute with integrated Bluetooth. It would be
great if it worked with a BT mouse...

Will it?

It should work. You need to set your laptop BT to "discover devices" so
that it sees the mouse.

Virtually all Bluetooth stacks (Widcomm, Toshiba, Microsoft XP SP2, Blue
Soliel) offer HID (human interface device) support. These will work with
Bluetooth mice and keyboards once the devices are paired.

Yes.

One issue is that the Bluetooth mice use a lot of power. I have a
Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse, and the batteries are good for about two months.
