Sony Vaio VGN-A117S. XP Home SP2.

I've found why I'm having a problem getting the mouse to work.
Hovering the cursor over the bluetooth symbol on the taskbar, I
am told bluetooth is off. Clicking on it brings up a box telling
me to switch it on.
My problem now is how do I do that.
I've pored through the paper manual, and the file in the
computer, and can't find any information on it, apart from
telling me the wireless link must be switched on and that a
bluetooth connection can't be used at the same time as a wireless
one. Switching the wireless connection on is as far as I've got.
It's a simple sliding switch on the front of the case. That's as
far as I've got.
Basically all the manual says, is switch the wireless connection
on then switch bluetooth on, without explaining how that is done.
Any help gratefully received.
TIA.
Mike.

I don't know how on that machine. But I have seen either a tiny switch
or a Fn key combo to toggle it. For example on my Gateway, it is Fn+F2
to toggle Bluetooth.
