Blackjack will not connect Joel Zinn 09-09-2007

I have Vista Ult installed and have a Samsung Blackjack that I used to have
connected via the Mobile Device Center. For some reason, within the last
week or so, I can no longer connect. When I start the Mobile Device Center,
it does not show the device at all. I deleted the partnership on the
device, thinking there was an issue, but that did not help. I have
uninstalled and reinstalled the Mobile device center, and that does not help
either. The Mobile Remote Adapter was removed and it added back. Still
nothing. The blackjack, comes to life every few seconds and makes a jingle
noise, but nothing else happens.

I am at a loss. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

What happens when you plug the phone in the USB?
did you try removing the device from the device manager while it's plugged
and installing it again so the Mobile Device Center may take it again?

hope this helps,
Cheers

I tried removing the mobile adapter device several times, but I did not see
the blackjack listed in the device manager. I looked through the list, but
did not see anything that looked like it. What should I look for?

When I plug it in to the USB port, I hear the "chime", on both the pc and
the blackjack, that lets me know they found each other.

If you are runing windows vista you should be seeing it under Mobile Devices
in the device manager, i don't remember exactly where it is in Win XP, but
it should be something like that.

I only see the mobile remote adapter. If I disconnect the device, the
adapter goes away. WHen I plug it in now, I get sound from the device that
it connects, which repeats without stopping.

Thanks,
