I have a Samsung BlackJack with ActiveSync 4.2. I can successfully download
all of my Outlook (corporate Exchange Server) emails (via WiFi and USB) and
they are put in the proper folders. The problem I am having is that the
BlackJack only notifies me of new emails that are in the InBox folder. I have
rules on the Exchange server that put specific emails into various folders. I
get those new emails but they don't beep/notify me of new mail.
Is there a way to configure the BJ or ActiveSync to notify/beep on any new
email in any/all folders?

much thanks...

I have the same problem with my BlackJack. I was hoping that someone
has an explaination or workaround.

Not sure if this side not would help but for scheduling options you
are better off setting it to "Every 5 mins" rather than "As they
arrive" because with the arrival setting your phone receives an SMS
message and schedules a sync 3 minutes afterwards. See this article
for a better explaination:

If anyone can help with the notification issue, I would be in great
debt!!!

Our corporate "work-a-round" for this issue is to simply disable all Outlook
Rules when we go On-Call. This forces every important notification into the
InBox so we see it. When we go off-call we simply turn on the Rules, run them
and Outlook puts them into their proper folders.
fun, eh.
