 What is bets way to make a small bedroom TV out of a
laptop?

Is it best to get an external TV card to fit into the
slot?

Or is it best to use and external T tuner in a "box"

I'd like to buy a small 14" laptop to make a TV out of
it as well as use as laptop.

 Probably cheaper just to buy a cheap used TV, huh?

The USB TV tuners do actually work reasonably well. Not sure if Media Center
supports any of them, but they come with their own TV and/or radio software.

A USB tuner will work fine. But you should remember that
TV resolution is *much* less than the computer display, so
you'll want to watch from several feet away, or play TV
in a small on-screen window.

The idea is that an SD TV picture should not subtend more
than a few degrees of the visual field. HD supports a
view about three to four times wider and taller.
