I would like to back up my hard drive using Backup ( start-accessories-system
tools). When I try this , I get message "cannot connect to Removable Storage
Service. When I go to device manage and click removable storage I get
"Service cannot be started because it is it has no enabled devices associated
with it. What does this mean and how do I enable it?

First guesses would be that you have no removable storage device or that it
is not working or that Windows doesn't know about it. What device were you
planning to backup to? Does this device work in other regards? i.e. from
other programs or for other purposes.

Jake,

Removable storage is a tape drive, which you don't have. I have not used
tape in years, I backup to removable drives, even on servers. I also don't
use Wizard Mode. It's been some time since I set one up, but I believe if
you provide a location & file name in the "Backup media or file name:" box
on the Backup tab you won't get that message.
