The second box should be layed over the first box. Is there an easy
fix for this. Keep in mind I know very little about html which is why
this site was created in word 2000.

You have 110 HTML errors and 68 CSS errors. This is because no version
of Word can create valid Web pages.
With these errors, there is no way to predict how a given browser will
display the page. IE seems to do a good job of displaying it, but
that's because IE and Word are both Micro$oft products. However,
30%-40% of those viewing the Web do not use IE.
There are some competent freeware tools for creating Web pages, one of
which is Nvu at <http://www.nvu.com/>. I don't really recommend Nvu
because I've had almost no experience with it. (I hand-code my HTML in
a Wordpad window.) However, Nvu does seem to create valid HTML.

You do not have any background images but some badly absolutely
positioned images. Wow, your Word almost did as poor a job as the all
time worst pseudo-web development tool MS Publisher!
There is no compensation for know at least a little bit about you are
doing. Try the tutorials at www.htmldog.com. And from now restrict your
use of Word to compose, spell check, grammar check your copy.
Tip 2: You're large images would be more efficiently utilized as JPG not
GIF.

Word appears to have created two sets of markup: one purports to be HTML
but falls woefully short, the other is embedded in the comments in the
HTML and appears to be some proprietary Microsoft markup. The use of
different images by IE suggests that IE is using the proprietary
Microsoft markup that contains what appear to be references to those
different images.
The bottom line here is that if a web page is wanted, Word is not the
tool to use to create it.

Awright awright i knew i was going to catch flak for making a website
with turd2000.
so..
thanks david for the link to Nvu, this looks much more usable than the
frustrating freewares that i tried and gave up on.
thanks jonathan for the link to those tutorials, i was trying to do
this fast and ignorant and i guess that's how it looks.
so..
I guess I'll actually have to learn this stuff and redo the whole
thing.
I know this is asking a lot but, in the mean time, is there anyway to
postion that second group of boxes on top of the Bg (first) image in
firefox?
