Hi all,
Is there a way to automatically re connect the activesync connection without
going to the PDA and manually "Sync via Bluetooth"? I would like to be able
to walk back into my office and have it reconnect without having to do
anything.

Hi,
There is no option to have ActiveSync with bluetooth automatically connect
without any intervention from the user.
This is done for security reasons. You wouldn't want your device to attempt
a partnership with any PC in the area via Bluetooth.

Please log in for more thread options We're talking about REconnection here. Once I've established a connection
and sync relationship with a PC, what security reason is there for not
reestablishing that connection when my device is back in range?

Please log in for more thread options I'm not convinced there's is any security reason, but it's a battery drain.
This is one of the few characteristics of ActiveSync that I don't recall
hearing complaints about before...

Please log in for more thread options And I see no API for receiving notifications when Bluetooth devices appear
in the neighborhood. Without that, you'd have to wake the device
periodically and check, is-device-a-with-ActiveSync service-present. If
someone knows of a means of detecting when a device comes into range, a
specific device, I think I can find a way to trigger ActiveSync...
