I have a Qtek 8010 (almost the same phone) and I've used it to connect to
internet.
The way to use your phone as a modem is to go to the ACCESSORIES on the
start menu and select ATCIUI (or perhaps it is called MODEM). Here you can
choose between USB and IRDA modem.
When you use USB be sure to UNPLUG the usb cable BEFORE enabling the modem
option. When you plug in the USB cable you will find a new hardware, this is
the modem. When windows ask you for driver you should use the cd from
Audiowox. My driver was a generic htc typhoon driver so I had to manualy
edit it to support my phone. If you're unable to locate a driver on the cd
and your not familiar with editing inf files, let me know ;)
Now you can go to Network Connections on your laptop and create a new
connection. Select connect to internet, setup manual, connect using a
dial-up modem, enter your ISPs name (same as your SP probably or enter
nothing). Then you are asked for the phonenumber. You should try to use gprs
connection to the internet instead of normal dialup because gprs gives you
33,6kpbs while normal dialup only gives you 9,6kbps. To use gprs enter *99#.
Don't enter anything for name or password.
Now you should be able to connect to the net.
