I just purchased a Dell Inspiron E1505 with Media Center 2005.
Everything has been operating optimally except for some of the sound in
Media Center. The opening sound and transition sounds of Media Center
stutter and crack. The same occurs when playing back audio (mp3's, CD
tracks, etc). However, the sound is just fine when playing videos, and
for some reason, if I toggle the visualization while playing songs the
problem is temporarily circumvented. I've attempted re-installing my
audio drivers (SigmaTel Audio) and the problem was resolved for a
moment. The next day, the issue arose again. So far, Dell's hardware
support hasn't been able to provide a definitive solution for the
problem. I figured that the issue was with the Media Center Software
itself. What might the case be?
