A friend of mine, owning a Asus Lap-top needs the OS to be newly
installed. Unfortunately we both don't know how to get into the bios.

I know of these so far:

"delete"
"F2"
"Ctrl+Alt+Esc"
"Ctrl+Alt+Dele"

Of course I could just try them, but I'd like to know if there are other
Keys as well, just to be on the safe side...

..... to change the cartridge for my printer, as this is
the ONLY job I'll trust it with, but nothing else.

Go to the Asus website and download the owners manual.

It's normally not necessary to get into the bios to install an operating
system.

@ "curly Bill"

Yeah that might be "one" good advice...

Well just in case the CD-Rom has to be set as first boot-option.
Haven't installed a Windows OS in years.....

Try F10/F11, or each function key in sequence. Phoenix, for example, has
no standard for accessing BIOS Setup. HP, for example, similarly has no
standart key on their notebook lines.
