I'm looking at Windows Mobile devices for the business I work for and a
killer feature would be the the ability to assign tasks to others. I
understand that this is not possible with Windows Mobile 5 but can this be
done with WM6 when using Exchange 2007 ?.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, this can't be done on the device. On the desktop, you can
send a task request, and the recipient will get an email that is a lot like
a meeting request - they can accept or decline the task.

On the device, there is no UI for sending this, and it is not consumed by it
either. In messaging/inbox application, the email won't even show up. So
either end of the scenario is not supported.

If you accept a task on the desktop(Outlook), this task will then sync down
to your device. But, you won't have any information about who assigned it to
you.

Thanks for confirming that Chilumba, that's a shame as this would have been
a killer feature for us.

If it's that important, look at the new Windows Live (SaaS) features
available via Pocket IE on WM5 or 6.
