is there anyway to correct the 4:3 NTSC or video streaming aspect
ratios? MCE 2005 seems to stretch everything to fit a widescreen DVI
monitor, but I want to maintain the right aspect ratios. For files that
have anamorphic encoding, would it "detect" it & display those files in
widescreen mode?

Did you tell MCE2005 that you have a 16:9 TV hooked up via DVI?

This is via settings within MCE2005.

Once you do that, 4:3 content should play in its native aspect ratio. Then
you can use the "zoom" feature if you would like.
