Another 85010014 error that can't be resolved. Paul 11-04-2006

Have an SPV M1000 (Orange) which connects fine to SBS2003 / Exchange SP2 /
SSL via:

USB connection on a PC on the local network
USB connection on a PC at work (via VPN)
"Wirelessly" via GPRS/VPN

Have now got myself an SPV M3100 (aka HTC TyTN) but get constant 85010014
errors when trying to sync with Exchange.

Using ActiveSync 4.2 on both PCs (tried 4.5 beta with same results)

I've got the SBS self-cert over to the M3100 and imported it no problem.

Orange have messed up my new SIM and not yet enabled GPRS on it so I can't
test the 3100 via that method to rule out something local on the PCs
blocking things.

I've tried disabling Windows Firewall (even though all the ActiveSync
exceptions appear to be in place).

I'm loathe to uninstall / reinstall Outlook as, with it being the same on
two totally independant PCs, it seems unlikely to be the cause. I also have
another locally connected PC I can try it on if needs be.

Any more suggestions anyone?

Regards,

Paul

Anyone got any other pointers?

I forgot to mention in the original post that there's nothing I can find in
any log files / event logs on either server or client PCs.

Does the fact that it's still working perfectly for the 2003 PPC device
imply that there should be no changes required at the server end (such as
SSL changes, Authentication changes to IIS Virtual Directories etc. etc.).

Regards,

Paul
