 We recently upgraded Exchange server to service pack 2

Now our K-Jam smartphones no longer connect when using GPRS.

The synchronisations starts and it shows the items to sync but then fails
with error code 0x8503001A

I have discovered that this is a bug in Exchange SP2

In ESM got to the HTTP protocol and select properties of Exchange Virtual
Server.
Under the option for forms based authentication change compression to none.
Now you need to edit metabase.xml and change all references to STATIC and
DYNAMIC compression to "false"

That has resolved it for me and Microsoft are now aware of the problem so
hopefully a full fix will get published.

Arthur,

Actually at least for us Sprint people... sprint has decided to turn off
compression over EVDO completely they told me. And the change has already
hit my area. I wont disable SSL on my server so I dont know if sync over
port 80 will work now, but it should as this compression was the culprit.
