I have been using Activesync 4, and it has never work, but I am unable
to install any previous versions now. Uninstall for Activesync 4 goes
fine but when I try to install other versions it fails.

So it looks like I'll have to get 4 working

It keeps complaining that it cannot access Microsoft Outlook. I have it
now set as my default mail app which I'm not happy with because I use
thunderbird quite happily, but nevermind. yet it still doesn't sync at all.

Is there some difference between Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office
2003 Outlook? Or is it AS4 not being able to see them as the same thing?

I have Office 2003 Outlook installed.

Any help appreciated

Anthony Thomas

have you tried this steps to uninstall AS 40?

1. Uninstall ActiveSync 4.0.
2. Open File Explorer, navigate to the System32 directory in your Windows
directory, and then manually delete the dynamic-link library Rapi.dll.
3. Reinstall the previous version of ActiveSync.
