I'm using an HTC-8900 (aka AT&T Tilt, HTC Kaiser )

OS: Windows Mobile 6 Professional (CE OS 5.2.1622)
Activesync version: 4.5.0
PC OS: Windows XP SP2
Outlook version: 2003 SP3

I'm periodically getting (sometimes once a day but not on every sync) a
message:

There has been a change made on your server that requires you to
re-sychronize all items on your device. Please perform a manual sync.

Support code: 80883001

Apps loaded on the PDA:

poccketMax phoneAlarm
Google Maps
SBSH.net PocketWeather
Spb Pocket Plus
OZ Communications OZ IM
Namco Ms. Pac Man
AT&T Get Xpress Mail

When the error happens the only program shown running in memory is Activesync.

I've tried disabling Advanced Network in the USB to PC connection settings
so it syncs using PPP instead of RNDIS - no luck.

I also tried disabling the featuring in Spb Pocket Plus that closes, instead
of minimizes, the application when you click the X in the upper right corner
- no luck.

Help!

First, the link you posted brings up a screen with no information.

Second, I upgraded the ROM as soon as I got my phone about 6 weeks ago so
unless a new ROM has come out within the last month or two, I have the latest
rom.

What I'd like to know is if this is giving a Support code, where do I go to
get support to give them the code? Do I need to buy support to get in
contact with a tech that actually specializes in activeync and has
communication lines with the actual developers of the program so I can at
least get an explanation as to what is most likely triggering this?

Comes up fine for me... Chris was pointing you to the software downloads.
You could try to contact either HTC, the AT&T guys, or Microsoft to find out
what they know about the code. There's, unfortunately, not a direct and
easy way to do that, however. AT&T will, no doubt, say that HTC is the
device vendor, so you need to talk to them. HTC will certainly say that
ActiveSync is a Microsoft product, etc. You'd need to start a support case
with MS to get anything to happen, though, which means committing to some
cost, maybe. Here's the start page for an email support request for
ActiveSync.

https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?Gprid=12505

The information that you've already given us, along with the version
information from the device (the OS version and so on, basically anything
with a version number in it in the About Control Panel applet).

After further research it appears the problem is very widespread with many
devices. The commonality is everyon encountering the problem is running
Activesync 4.5.0 and wynching Outlook E-mail. If you don't synch Outlook
E-mail you don't have the problem but that's sort of the main point for using
Activesync in the first place.

See:

The pseudo 'official' thread on this (one I found with the most messages) is
specifically:

http://forums.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/showpost.aspx?postid=2784891&siteid=65&sb=0&d=1&at=7&ft=11&tf=0&pageid=1

It got so big the started another thread:

Microsoft better get on this and figure out the problem!
