I have 263 contacts in my Outlook PST file. Activesync will only sync about
150 of these contacts. There are no errors and the sync shows as completed.
Upon further investigation it seems that specific contacts are not syncing.
Looking at the specific contacts does not reveal any clues as to why this is
happening. The non-syncing contacts are setup the same way as all of the
rest of the contacts in my default contacts folder. I have listed some more
info below that may help in solving the problem.

- 263 Total contacts, all in default contacts folder, sorted by categories
- Activesync 4.2, syncing with USB cable
- Windows XP SP2 with latest updates
- Microsoft Office 2003 SP2 with latest updates

Here is some more information on the problem...

Sprint PPC-6700 Phone running Windows Mobile 5.0 with latest service pack
installed.

Deleted and recreated the partnership between the PPC and the desktop.
Still doing the same thing.

Hi,
Have you tried moving the contacts to a new folder and moving them back
until you find the contacts that will not sync? It could be an embedded
file in the notes that is causing the problem.

Chris,

I have done what you described below and I've found specific contacts that
will not sync. However, some of these contacts have no information in the
notes field. I verified this by doing a "select all" in the notes field and
deleting everything then saving the contact. Still doesn't sync.

Hi,
It could be a problem with the contacts being imported from another source
or a corruption in the PST file. Try running scanpst to check the PST file.
Also, consider exporting the contacts and then reimporting them.
