Outlook on my pocket pc is not synchronized correctly with Microsoft Outlook
2003 on my laptop.
The entire folder structure that I have set up in Outlook, and changes I
make to it on the laptop, synchronizes correctly to the pocket pc, but the
sub-folders remain empty. Mail is only synchronized for the top level folder,
the inbox. The rest of the sub-folders, which are placed in the inbox, are
empty.
When I connect the laptop and the pocket PC via a USB cable to synchronize,
other items such as contacts, appointments, etc. are synchronized without any
problems. Mail also appears to be synchronizing, but does not show up in the
folders on the pocket pc.
Is there anybody out there who has experienced the same problem?
These are my specs:
Laptop:
Windows XP Professional Version 2002 SP3
Microsoft Office Professional Outlook 2003 (11.8217.8221) SP3
ActiveSync Version 4.5.0 (build 5096)
Pocket PC:
Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition, Version 4.21.1088 (Build 14132)
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi Shinano,
Have you checked the sub-folders under Inbox settings in ActiveSync? You can
show/hide quoted text
access them under Tools > Options > click Inbox > click Settings.

The first sync will create the folder structure, but only the inbox folder
will sync By default unless you specify otherwise.
In the "Inbox" program tap "Tools" then "Manage Folders", tap the little
"+" sign next to the Inbox folder to expand the hierarchy and show the
subfolders, check each folder you'd like to sync, then resync the device.

Thank you very much for the reply. I changed the setting as per your
instructions. That did the trick. I have my mail synchronized now.
