I've been trying all afternoon to get my activesync connection working on my
SPV-C500 --- it starts up OK but then I get the message "Microsoft Outlook is
no longer installed so activesync cannot continue to run. To continue
synchronisation reinstall microsoft outlook....... blah blah blah". It IS
installed!! I have reinstalled three times now, trying to sort this and the
spot on my head where I am banging it on the desk is REALLY smarting. Has
anyone got a DUH!! solution for me???? Pretty please!!!!

In Outlook - click on "Help" and select Detect and Repair.
Select: "Restore my shortcuts while repairing".

- with ActiveSynch 3.8.
Sorry for the late notice - I had the same problem and found a way to
fix it. Microsoft touches upon it here:
