I using Unitech PA950 (Windows Mobile 2003 SE) device and ActiveSync 4.1.
Device is connected via USB.
ActiveSync breaks connection at random times.
Connection is established no longer than 5-10 minutes and it breaks.
When I deploy large file to device the same thing occurs.

Unitech doesn?t provide any additional drivers.
I?ve read ActiveSync Troubleshooting Guide
(http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/help/activesync/default.mspx) .
My firewall is turned off.
I don? have any Network Connection Managers, VPN Clients, Parental Control
Utilities, Hubs & Docking Stations and Network Traffic Optimizers.

Can you help me?

Best Regards
Darek

Hi Darek,

ActiveSync is not very reliable when you attempt to sync files of large
size. Suggest using a card reader instead. ActiveSync 4.1 is recommended
for WM 5.0 devices. Were you having intermittent connection issues while
using an earlier verison of ActiveSync?

Thanks for response.

I'm using ActiveSync to develop Compact Framework applications.
I've tested ActiveSync 4.0 and 3.8. Version 3.8 seems to be more stable but it
breaks too.
I'm developer and I work with many different devices, also WM5.
I won't reinstall ActiveSync when I change device.

Any suggestions?

Best Regards
Darek

I forgot to mention that I?ve tested Symbol, PSC, LXE and MDA devices based on
Windows Mobile 2003, Windows 5.0 and Windows Mobile 5. I noticed this issue only
on Unitech PA950 device.

Best Regards
Darek
