 Hi,

I have a DELL AXIM X51V with WM5 (ROM A06) and activesync 4.1 on the
desktop computer.

When I put it on the cradle in the night time, I only want to charge
the battery, so I just press "power button" once and turn the device
off.
But it always automatic turn on by self after 5 mins.
I have searched on the group and aximsite.com, there are some idea to
fix this problem by adding a fake server and changing the schedule
setting to Manually. I followed the instruction to make those changing,
but the problem is still there.
I know the problem is on ActiveSync in the PocketPC, I really don't
need it to working so hard for every 5 mins in 24/7.

Is there a good solution (Changing in registry) to fix this problem.

This situation is still brand new and options are still popping up but
still no "good" solution.

It's my opinion that the ms doesn't think this is an issue that needs to
be addressed, so let them know your feelings by registering your
feelings with your oem's tech support department.

Take a look at http://BevHoward.com/ASync.htm#RAPI for evolving
approaches to the need... note, the suggestions here are not perfect and
may generate different problems.

A good solution is that Microsoft recognizes the need that software should
be there for the customer, not for Microsoft to hijack one's computer, but
that solution is slowly but surely getting out of sight with every new
release of ActiveJunk. A scond solution could be:

On micrologic's forum, David posted on 12/11 that 3500 downloads of the
new beta of the above utility had been made... would seem to indicate
that ppc users do have the need to control AS's behaviour ;-)

(the beta version is required for AS4.x)

Another solution can be to kill the activesync process by Memmaid
