I would suggest you try the steps explained on this page -
http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/raj/AS40Guest.html and then reinstall the 3.6
version. If it doesn't help, could you provide more information about what
exactly happens when you connect the device? Does it appear under the
Device Manager when attached? Does the green sync wheel start to spin upon
connection?
