I have ActiveSync V3.8 installed on Windows XP.
It is used with 3 devices :
HP h2210
HP Jornada
HP hx4700
All was working well until this morning, when I tried to install the
latest version of KeyPlus (V2.1) on the hx4700 (it is the WM2003SE
version... NOT the WM5 version)
I don't think that the problem is 100% due to that though !
When I try to sync, I get the "User Autenticated" on the PDA and then
the 'jingle' to say it has connected ... but this is very quicky
followed by the same 'jingle' to say it has disconnected !!!!!!
That is about it !
I renamed the hx4700 from "HP_hx4700" to "hx4700", established a new
partnership .... but the same thing happens !
The other two PDA's still work fine, so I assume the problem is with
some settings somewhere on the hx4700 ?
I have done a 'soft reset' still the same...
Other than doing a 'hard reset' and spending days putting all the
programs back on, is there another solution ???
