I have installed ActiveSync 4.0 for use with some new Sprint PPC-6700
devices. Everything seems to work, except that when I plug a device
into its cradle, ActivySync tells me that there is no disk in the
drive, and asks me to insert a disk in Drive D. If I click "Cancel" or
"Continue," ActiveSync starts up and is able to sync without any
problems. If I leave the disc in the drive, I am not prompted.

The software is already installed, does anybody know why I am
continually prompted to insert a disk into the drive?

Have you rebooted after the install of ActiveSync 4.0?
Have you updated to ActiveSync 4.1 from the web?

Yes, I tried rebooting, that did not solve the problem. I uninstalled
4.0 and installed 4.1, and that fixed it.
