In ActiveSync 3.8 I just notices that Files sync is missing for me in the
list of sync services. I never used either of these so I didn't pay much
attention until now, when I was going to use File syncing for the first
time. Was this removed somewhere along the way? Or was it never available
for Smartphone activesync, and I'm just rememering it from my pocketpc
days??

Thanks,

Joe

Just doesn't exist for Smartphones. Stands to reason since there are no
Word, Excel, Notes (outlook), etc., viewers on the Smartphone. I know there
are ways around that, but not from MS. The RAM on most Smartphones is pretty
limited too, so you could fill it up pretty fast doing file sync.

OIC, yeah, I must've been remembering from my old PDA. Tho the RAM on lots
of smartphones is limited, lots of people upgrade... I have a 1GB miniSD
card in mine. Since it's already in ActiveSync, it doesn't seem like it
would be that awfully horrible for the developers to leave it as an option
to be turned on. Anyway, c'est la vie.
