Hi,
ActiveSync and your Windows Mobile device are setup so that when you plug it
in, it syncs. This is by design. there is no option to go back to the
button press option such as the Palm OS supports.
Another alternative is to use an application like Killsync from
www.pocketpcfaq.com/applications to stop ActiveSync and then reload it when
you want to sync.
