I recently upgraded my PDA to a smart phone running Windows Mobile 6, which
syncs with my work laptop and my home PC. However, ActiveSync seems to
insist that my home PC is the master calendar and will not update meetings
onto my home PC that I have updated at work (and sent/ received invites) and
then
synced with my phone.

ActiveSync in both cases is version 4.5.0 (build 5096). My home PC runs
Outlook 2007 on XP home. My work laptop has Outlook 2003 on XP Pro.

With my old PDA I was prompted which appointment was correct in this
situation. I have looked through all the options in ActiveSync and cannot see
anything that would change this behavior.

Anybody any ideas, since this is starting to drive me nuts.

Hi Richard,

If a conflict is occurring, then the conflict resolution setting will
kick-in. Unlike pre-WM5.0 device the manual conflict resolution option is
no longer available on WM5.0 and WM6.0 devices. Is that the issue you are
facing?

Yes, this seems to be the problem. The conflict resolution always takes the
Outlook 2007 to be correct, when in a number of instances it is not. Is
there a way to change this setting?

Raj, I too am facing this conflict resolution issue - and from the HOURS of
searching for a solution, I can see that many MANY others are facing this
also.

Previous versions of Activesync would stop the sync process whenever a
calendar or contact conflicted on either the base computer or the PDA. What I
would like is a straighforward answer with an explaination...WHY was this
feature done away with, and WILL it be available on a (hopefully)
soon-to-be-released upgrade??

With so many people having this issue, how about MS listen to the many
requests and fix what was not broken!

IF it is not going to be available, what are the steps to uninstall this
annoying new version of Activesync (which has caused me many hours of grief
not to mention missed appointments and lost contact details) and install an
older version that HAS this most welcome feature??

Looking forward to this conflict resolution being resolved - soon.
