ActiveSync 4.2: Version not compatible Espana2006 01-02-2007

 Hi, I just reinstalled my OS and downloaded the latest version ActiveSync
4.2.0 (build 4876) in English. Now I cannot connect to my Japanese handheld
running Microsoft Windows CE, Handheld PC edition Version 3.01 Build 9011.

I get a window entitled "Version not compatible" with the error "Unable to
connect to your mobile device. It is not compatible with the version of
Microsoft ActiveSync currently installed on this desktop computer." I also
tried the Japanese version of 4.2 but same problem.

Tecnet detailed AS4.2 as being compatible with CE Version 3.01 but there
seems to be aproblem. Can anyone help?

Where can I DL an old version of Activesync (v.3.5 or lower?)

 I'm not sure if you can still downoad the older versions, however, I do have
a few older versions of acvtive sync. I've never tried any of those upload
sites. Just give me an email address I can send it to you as an attatchment.

Hi,

Only the following mobile device operating systems are supported by
ActiveSync 4.2:
- Microsoft Windows Mobile Version 5.0
- Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition
- Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003
- Microsoft Pocket PC 2002, Microsoft Windows CE OS version 3.0
- Microsoft Smartphone 2002, Microsoft Windows CE OS version 3.0

For older versions of ActiveSync check out -
http://www.hpcfactor.com/support/syncsoft/activesync/#Download Note that the
ones available are English version.

Raj, I have CE OS version 3.01- are you saying only 3.0 and not 3.01 is
supported

You have a Handheld PC edition and the one supported are Microsoft Pocket PC
2002 & Smartphone 2002 edition of Microsoft Windows CE OS version 3.0.
