Can any MVP tell if Microsoft will come with a new version of active sync?
Ive got for a long a problem that is still not solved, (only on my desktop
on my laptop it workes fine) see post with MIO A201.

I noticed that im not the only one with this kind of problem.
So i hope Microsoft can help us pioneers with Mobile 5 fast.

thx Marcel

Microsoft has not publicly committed to any new versions of AS, other than
4.1, which is, of course already out.

Searching the archives on "A201" leads me to your thread, but I don't have
any further ideas for you. It seems that there should be enough information
there for someone at MS to figure out what's going on. Given that you don't
see any connections with 990 on the device, I'm still going to guess that
you have some sort of network utility on the desktop machine which is
blocking the connection or, at least, the UDP packets that AS might be
sending to the device from the desktop.

There are some programs that can scan the ports on an address or set of
addresses from another computer looking for open ports. No names come to
mind, but a search should find you something free ("open ports" is a search
term that you might use; you're looking for security software that will find
any open ports on your server so you can close them). In fact, here's a
few:
