Active Sync Error Message Security Sol 12-19-2005

I have been using Active Sync 3.7.1 for a while and have not had problems.
All of a sudden contacts, notes and calendar will not sync. When it
attempts to sync I get the following message

'Sync cannot be complted because Microsoft Outlook cannot open the Contact
folder....'

The contact folder is there because I can access it from Outlook.

So far I have

1. Deleted the partnership and retried.
2. Performed software boot on the Axim and Outlook.
3. Uninstalled and Reinstalled both Active Sync and Outlook

And I am still having the problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions.

Thanks

Outlook has a repair option in case there is data corruption. Have you
tried it? Look on the Help menu.

Try running the Scanpst utility to check for any corruption in the PST file
(the file that stores your Outlook data). Search for scanpst.exe on your
computer.

You will need to run it against the .pst file. If you are unable to locate
the path of the .pst file, do the following:

1. Open Outlook.
2. Click File -> Data File Management
3. This should list all the PST files that are present. Click Open Folder
and you should find the storage path of your *.pst file.

Outlook connects to an exchange server. There is one .pst file that I use
to save large items or old emails on. I ran scanpst against that and it did
not find any errors.

The strange thing is that ActiveSync will sync the email messages (i.e.
Inbox) but not notes, tasks or contacts.
