 I have Asus a696 running on WM5.
I upgraded to WM6 & sync with activesync 4.5
since i upgraded to WM6, the sync process last several minutes while with
the previous WM5 it took several seconds.
I read several forums on the web & i noticed that there is a problem between
WM6 & activesync 4.5

Do you know about this problem & if there is any solution for this annoying
problem ?

 You are at least having more luck with it than me, I left my WM6 device and
Active sync 4.5 running overnight. This morning it had still not completed,
and the status window had done nothing. (see my post a few beneath yours, so
far with no replies).

I am hoping there is a resolution to this, the main reason I bought a
smartphone was because I wanted to sync my contacts and calendar.

I have a computer running windows M.E and i want to be able to transfer files
from my computer to my phone but the active sync doesnt detect my phone ;( my
phone is an mda compact 2 pocket pc. iv checked the usb cable and everything.
i think it might be that my phone is running windows mobile 5???? though im
not sure. any ideas anybody?

If you are using Win ME you might find that it does not have the drivers to
recognize your phone. Try downloading and installing manufacturer drivers
for your phone and then running Activesync.
