Dell Dimension 9150 running MCE 2005. I installed the ATI TV Wonder tuner
card and tried to configure MCE with it. I get up to the point where MCE
wants to detect an IR device. The ATI card did not come with an IR device. So
does that mean I cannot use MCE to watch TV with this card or do I need to
purchase an IR device seperately. If so, what IR device do I need. Is there a
way to bypass MCE's detection of an IR device. My TV signal comes from a
satelite dish.

You need to have the IR device so that it can change the channels on the set
top box. Without this, you won't be able to continue.

The TV Wonder Elite is on the list, so that's not the problem, but you do
need to purchase a MCE remote, newegg.com, among others sells them. If you
are using a STB (cable or sat.), I don't think there is a way around the IR
detection, since MCE needs the IR Receiver/Blaster to control the STB.
