Cingular generally operates on the 850 band, which the mpx200 hardware does
not support. Therefore, you will roam to other networks that are on bands
the phone supports. T-Mobile and AT&T are on the 1900 band, which the phone
supports. I have the same problem here in Austin when I use a Cingular SIM
card in my unlocked mpx200.
