Hi,

I have a table with varchar(50) column in ASE 12.5 server with utf8
default charset.

I am using Sybase::DBLib to connect to database and insert Japanese +
English characters.

But I am getting the following error while trying to connect to
database.

DB-Library error:
Error in attempting to open a localization file: Unable to open
file

The perl script seems to be inserting the data into DB even though it
throws the above error. But all Japanese data gets inserted as junk
character whereas ASCII characters seem to be fine.

Can anyone please give me some pointers to this issue?

Thanks and Regards
Rajesh
