AS 4.5 window can not be resized ?

AS 4.5 window can not be resized ? Lionel B. Dyck 01-20-2008

In running AS 4.5 on xp pro sp2 the window has started to show up the full width
of my display and I am not able to resize it.

Any advice/suggestions?

Hi Lionel,

Access the registry under the following location on your computer:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows CE Services

and change the value under "WCESMGR Windowplacement", you can try setting it
to

0,1,-1,-1,-1,-1,0,0,0,0

And click Ok to save the value. Close the window if its open and double
click the ActiveSync icon and the window should appear correctly.

THANK YOU

This trick solved the issue. However I had to kill the wcsecomm.exe and then
start ActiveSync then connect my ppc for it to work.

Is there a way to cause AS to cease opening a windows explorer window when my
PPC connects?

Hi Lionel,

I am not sure why the window is coming up but would suggest you to refer to
http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/raj/AppMgr.html and see if there entry in the
registry under the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows CE Services\AutoStartOnConnect
