I bought a treo 700w to test syncing with my Exchange 2003 SP2 server. On
the device, for Server address I have my OWA URL and the check box to use
SSL. Username, Password and Domain is set. All data sync options (inbox,
calendar, etc...) are checked. When Syncing I get the following error on the
device:
"security certificate on the server is invalid..." Support Code: 0x80072f0d
SSl for OWA is enabled using an inhouse Certificate Authority.
when i try to access OMA by using the link webmail.mycompany.com/oma I get
the message on the device: "OMA is supported only on MS exch srv 2003.
Currently you mailbox is stored on an older version of exchange..."
I've followed articles to manually import certificates to the Treo and they
show up under Root Certificates but the error continues.
Is it possible to get Active Sync working on the Treo using my own Cert
Auth? Do I need a 3rd party Certificate to get this to work. I feel that
after I get a 3rd party cert this problem or another one will come up. Any
information is appreciated. Thanks
