I'm a new convert to the T-Mobile SDA from I-Mate PPC Phone. Very
pleased with the phone so far, but have a few annoying, newbie kinds
of questions.

1. How do I turn my phone off so that pressing buttons doesn't wake it
up? The case it comes with is very snug and a button invariably gets
pressed which leads to battery usage issues. I know you can lock the
keys but this is still a problem because it wakes up when a key is
pressed.

2. When I connect to a secure wifi signal do I have to enter the
massive encryption key EVERY time I want to use it? My phone doesn't
seem to remember the key which is a REAL pain. A side question, is
there any software that can store text strings for inputting in
situations like these?

3. When looking to purchase software for this phone, what kind of
software runs on this thing? Smartphone, windows mobile or pocket pc?

4. What is the right forum for questions like these?

Many thanks in advance for your assistance,

S

I just got my SDA and fight the same thing with the buttons in my case. I
have to remember to lock the keysby holding the red button for three seconds.
I've also experimented by going into settings, security and enable phone
lock with a password of "1", then set the securit to lock the phone in
fifteen seconds. That was ok but then I needed to shut off key click sounds
so that I didn' hear the phone when in the case and keys were being pressed.
Oh how I miss my flip phone.
