 I just got an Xbox 360 (awesome by the way) which I intend to also use as an
extender for my MCE2005 system. However, when I try to install the 360
extender software (from www.xbox.com/pcsetup), the install crashes:
DvcSetup.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Anyone see this before? Ideas of what I should check?

 do you have all the updates for MCE 2005 installed including update
rollup 2 and the fixes for that?

Please log in for more thread options
Check to see that your .net framework 1.1 and 1.1 sp1 are properly
installed.
After that, then install Rollup 2 for MCE 2005
Then install the xbox 360 setup bits.
