Is there any error message in the EventLog (Control Panel -> Administrative
Tools -> Event Viewer) that give you any more details? Can you initialize a
sync from the Pocket PC to see if it reveals any error messages?

When was the last time you performed a successful sync? And what has
changed on your computer since then?

I went to the Event Log, but it did not give an error message or #. Only
mentioned the Event # 11728. I last successfully synced on 1/15/08. I
changed a LOT in my contacts yesterday & then this problem started. I should
have had my device in the cradle when I was making my changes & it may have
just gradually made them & it not been a problem. I feel like it's timing
out, but it doesn't give that message & I don't know how to change the time
allowed if it did.

I appreciate your troubleshooting efforts.

Oh, when I initiate the sync from the device it just always says
'synchronizing' but never completes it.
