Treo700wx/Mobile 5 syncing with Outlook 2003/2007 on both XP and Vista

I had to add the 2008 holidays to Outlook recently (they were not shown) and
now on my Treo Calendar all the 2008 Holidays are displaying a day earlier
than they should. For example, Good Friday is listed as being on Thursday,
March 20th 2008.

I have this happening on two seperate Treos, one XP Pro/Outlook 2003 and one
Vista/Outlook 2007.

Any ideas on correcting this? Web searching has turned up others with the
same problem but no solutions.

Hi,

How have you added the 2008 holidays to Outlook?

Hi,

Thanks for the confirmation. I have not experienced this issue on my side
with a WM6.0 device. Have you checked with Palm about this issue?

I had that too on my AT&T Tilt, running WM 6.0 and Outlook 2002 on the desktop.

This fix worked for me.

1. I deleted all the holidays from outlook, easily done by changing the
calendar view to category, thereby listing all the hoilidays in a block,
allowing them to be all be selected and deleted. Be careful though. If you
created any holidays of your own they will not be reloaded when you follow
step 4.

2. Sync with the phone to erase all the holidays from the phone. Verify
that the holidays were deleted.

3. Install the DST update for windows mobile on the phone
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/daylightsaving/default.mspx and make
sure you have installed the DST update for your desktop, KB933360

4. Make sure your setting - phone - time zone has the auto time zone checked

4. On outlook, reload the holidays through calendar options.

5. Sync with ActiveSync

That's all it took for me.

Good luck.
