Hi,

I'm coming from the Palm word and am thinking about switching to an HP
iPaq.

My question is: does it come with a Personal Information Manager I can
synch to?

Palm comes with Palm Desktop.

But I'm not using Outlook, Outlook Express, Lotus Notes. None of them
and don't want to.

So what are my options regarding the desktop side of the PIM to be
synched with an iPaq?

Thanks for any help

Sincerely,
Steve JORDI

Out of the box, most devices come with some version of Microsoft Outlook for
contacts, calendar, notes, etc. What would you sync your contacts or
calendar with, if not some program on the desktop? You want some mobile
device-only PIM, rather than a full-function program like Outlook for some
reason?

Ah ok so Outlook desktop comes with the PDA? I didn't knwo that.
I don't really have anything against Outlook but didn't want to
buy it just to have a desktop application in order to sync my PDA
libraries.

So I may consider getting a pocketPC PDA and give Outlook a try.

Thanks

Sincerely,
Steve JORDI

Mine came with Outlook 2002, which is an older version (and I have Outlook
2003 anyway), but yes they generally come with something that should work.
