 This is the most current version

  1. Fixed a bug that prevented correct handling of boolean AND multi-keyword searches
  2. Fixed a bug (first appeared in 1.70) that made all searches case-sensitive, regardless of the settings under certain conditions

When upgrading from 1.70, please replace 1search.cgi, 1control.cgi and add 1affiliate.txt (if missing). Before uploading 1control.cgi, edit the defailt user name/password.

  1. Added whole/partial word search option
  2. Added support for searching static SSI included files (<!--#include virtual="/somedir/file.txt" -->
  3. Added support for searching HTML portion of PHP files
  4. Added control over file extension being searched (htm, php, txt etc.)

Please note: advanced control parameters (2 through 4 from the list above) are not yet included in the Web administration control panel. It means that to change the default setting, you would need to open the file 1search.cgi and edit the parameters in the top config section of the script with Notepad or similar text editor.

1.61 (released 05 Aug 1999-2004)
