- Download the script (see left panel). Unzip the package. it consists of three files:
- 1jump.cgi - the script itself. There is nothing to configure inside
- 1jump_vars.txt - the configuration file. You need to configure three positions: path/name of your log file, homepage URL and URL for your header file.
- welcome_back.htm - the header or "link back bar" file. Edit it accordingly to your site's layout. It is recommended to have links to your homepage and most important parts of your site.
- Upload the files using your preferred FTP client software. Please make sure that the path for the welcome_back.htm file corresponds to one you configured in 1jump_vars.txt - the configuration file
- Change attributes for 1jump.cgi file so that everybody will be able to run it (UNIX command CHMOD 755)
- Make sure that the script has ability to write into the directory where the log file will be automatically created.
